Your new role:
METRO is known for its wholesale business with our professional customers in the HoReCa industry. In addition, METRO operates a network of franchise partners and smaller convenience stores, particularly in Eastern Europe and Asia. Our team sets the standards, develops the system further and supports the local countries on the implementation of the concepts as well as creating new routes to market for future growth.
In addition to this, the team also helps develop digitally relevant solutions to improve our customers business and connection with Metro. The role will be responsible for analyzing all major marketing activities, providing learnings and recommendations for markets as well as ensuring brand performance trackers and preparing financial assumptions and forecasts for central LTOs (Limited Time Offers) and key activities.
The convenience hard Franchise business is an exciting new project creating a global convenience business deployed across multiple countries under one global brand - BONVENO. The brand has been just created and started to be rolled out in the pilot markets. Now needs to be developed further across all customer touchpoints and the areas of Marketing Mix (7Ps).
Metro's ambition is to create a model that is differentiated enough from the competition to become the market leader of convenience and develop a brand that is recognized by our customers to delight and excite on every trip. Once the model is clear, we plan to scale rapidly in countries, so that our stores can be seen in all major cities and densify the model to become the go to food retailer at a local level.
BONVENO Brand Manager will have full accountability and ownership to build the new global brand by driving the wide range of branding and marketing activities: ATL, BTL, Digital & Mobile, Public Relations, Real Time Marketing (RTM), Local Store Marketing (LSM) and New Store Opening (NSO), customer engagement (loyalty program, CRM).
She/he will be also responsible for ensuring convenient experience within in-store and digital/mobile customer journey by setting up global standards, that will be used by markets.
You will be responsible:
- The role will be responsible for analyzing all major marketing activities, providing learnings and recommendations for markets as well as ensuring brand performance trackers and preparing financial assumptions and forecasts for central LTOs (Limited Time Offers) and key activities.
- The relevant candidate will have to build strong relationships with local teams, Metro AG central departments, external agencies and have an ability to identify potential solutions or partners.
- Consistent BONVENO brand execution (Marketing Mix areas) in the countries by developing and launching global standards in cooperation with local teams
- Setting up consistent and cost-effective standards for stores' format development and design elements
- Co-creating the marketing calendar for BONVENO brand with central and local promo windows. Executing central promo windows by developing promo mechanics, communication materials and promo trackers
- Creating 360 communication strategy across Paid, Owned and Earned Media to drive in-store and digital traffic.
- 'Launching promo mechanics library to answer business challenges and preparing promo learning boards from major marketing activities.
Qualifications Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in the profession (including project/product management, marketing, design&formats)
- University degree, business driven mind-set
- Experience in working on an international Brand will be an advantage
- Commercial skills learnt within commercial leadership positions
- Strong analytical, business process/understanding and delivering to key metrics/investments/timeframes
- Leadership skills, influencing others without the need of top down direction.
