As a SCM CRM Intern, you are responsible for supporting in managing customer relationships, ensuring accurate forecasting, and overseeing the order fulfillment process. This role involves acting as one of the primary liaison between the company and its major customers, collecting and verifying forecasts, and managing customer orders from order placement through to delivery.
Your responsibilities:
- Coordinate and further enhance Demand Planning process with customers in order to improve availability of own brand assortment, and cross-functional cooperation within entire supply chain.
- Analyze forecast performance, derive, and follow up on action plans together with the METRO countries.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Transports departments for picking, packing, and shipping, securing the OTIF performance.
- Design, implement and sustain daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes.
- Take a lead in resolving issues for customers on matters related to performance, pricing, master data, service level etc.
- Communicate actively with a selected cluster of customers as well as other business partners to solve daily operational issues.
- Support in opening new business opportunities and expanding sales by working closely together with the local country category managers and supply chain colleagues.
- Support and train new country contacts on specific topics related to web-based Ordering System, demand planning tool, etc.
- Coordinate internal/external stakeholders on specific sales related projects.
- You are enrolled in a University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering with focus on SCM or Logistics
- You have some first experience in the Wholesale, Retail, or FMCG industries and have first-hand working experience with Transport management system
- You have working experience with top-tier ERP systems (Dynamics 365 or equivalent)
- Your advanced skills in MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel (Pivot tables; Macros) are desirable
- You are passionate about customer service and understand how it can transform businesses
- You are a team player and can successfully blend-in to international team environment
- Your strong and emphatic personality, coupled with excellent communication skills empower you to positively influence stakeholders involved in your daily activities
- Work in modern supply chain requires to cope with pressure and continuously prioritize – you are master of both
- You are fluent in English (vocal and written) and additional European language will be your advantage
