Expert Corporate Security & Forensics (m/f/d)



Job Description
The Corporate Security, Safety and Forensics team has a vital role in protecting people and assets at METRO. The team is responsible for dealing with security risks as well as possible violations of laws and regulations, both nationally and internationally. It carries out security assessments, security audits, and fraud investigations. It creates appropriate guidelines and audit mechanisms and coordinates the regional and local Security managers. In the event of suspected violations of laws or internal regulations, the team investigates the incidents and reports to the senior management. In addition, the corporate safety function ensures a safe working environment by developing and monitoring company-wide safety standards and preventive measures. The Corporate Security, Safety and Forensics team is part of the Audit, Asset Protection & Governance division. You will support the team in two areas, security and forensics.
Your tasks:
- Loss Prevention: Support initiatives aimed at reducing shrinkage, protecting company assets, and strengthening operational resilience.
- Incident Management: Oversee and coordinate security incidents, liaising with emergency services and authorities as needed, and manage, maintain, and develop the security incident management system.
- Crisis Management: Support and coordinate the crisis management process, including maintaining crisis management guidelines, designing and delivering training, and conducting security risk assessments for current and prospective operations.
- Risk Assessment: Continuously monitor and evaluate evolving threat landscapes, providing recommendations to mitigate emerging risks.
- Security Programs & Compliance: Manage travel security programs for international travelers, coordinate internal security communications, develop and implement corporate security and forensics policies, and perform OSINT background checks to support corporate integrity and compliance objectives.
- Investigations & Event Security: Conduct fraud investigations, interviews, and analyze physical and electronic documentation to prepare investigative reports and ensure security planning and coordination for corporate events and conferences.
Qualifications
Your profile:
- Education: University degree in business informatics, accounting, business management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably at a Big4 audit firm, in investigations, or within the security function of an international company.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS O365 Suite, especially Excel, and ERP systems.
- Languages: Very good English and German skills (both written and oral).
- Personality: Team player with an accurate, analytical, and open-minded approach, complemented by a can-do attitude.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work environments, including occasional business travel.
