Job Description

Logistics Specialist to oversee and grow MIS logistics operations. In this challenging role, will act to grow logistics capabilities by supervising the operations managed by Logistics Service Provider (LSP) daily. The Position will be driving force behind efficient management, optimizing processes, and acting consequently.

  • Oversee daily operations managed by Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), resolve operational issues, and ensure compliance with Metro standards.
  • Monitor LSP performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs), report deviations, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure stock accuracy, review inventory reports, investigate discrepancies, and initiate corrective measures.
  • Track logistics costs, ensure budget compliance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist in quality control processes from a logistics perspective, including root cause analysis for product damages or quality deviations.
  • Regularly report KPIs, analyze performance trends, and develop improvement plans.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in logistics and warehouse management, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, LSPs, and management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of logistics operations, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory control practices. Experience working with third-party Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) is beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software and tools, data analysis, and performance metrics and Office programs .. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is advantageous.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop team members, with solid leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Valid Driving License: Flexible with travelling.
