Job Description

To maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System of METRO through documentation 
To ensure evaluation of the QMS in all METRO entities through Global QA assessments process.
Continual improvement of GQA QMS, development and support of the digital tools in the operational activities.

  • Ensure QA standards and procedures are up-to-date and comply with METRO Quality Management System.
  • Lead the Global Quality Assurance (GQA) assessment process across all METRO countries and entities in line with the risk assessment.
  • Ensure assessors' trainings and onboarding, and conduct calibration sessions.
  • Ensure timely reporting of assessment results to the Management.
  • Conduct minimum eight GQA assessments per year as a lead assessor.
  • Oversee store QA operations; evaluate and prepare for approval the in-house meat processing activities.
  • Fulfill Regional QA responsibility for a cluster of METRO entities and provide functional support to implement GQA standards, maintain yearly KPIs, and achieve QA objectives.
  • Deliver trainings and share expertise with internal and entities' stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in food technology, science and/or engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with projects related to developing and implementing Quality Management Systems preferred in retail/wholesale or production companies
  • Minimum 3 years in the leadership position in retail/wholesale or production companies
  • Experience in auditing as internal or external auditor
  • Experience in project management in different areas in QA
  • Excellent technical and practical knowledge in HACCP, PRPs, Food Quality and Safety
  • Lead or Internal auditor certification
  • Excellent knowledge on the METRO QA requirements (QA Manuals and Standards) and how to apply them to the real-world processes
  • Ability to see the global picture and relevance of quality
  • Quick, good and strong comprehension
  • Strong ability to work cross functionally
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent English communication skills – spoken, written, presentation
  • Strong team orientation and intercultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good report, business emails, and procedures writing skills
  • Good presentation skills - Develop and present PowerPoint presentations to senior management
