Job Description

The main objective of our LUCA program is to successfully upgrade METRO’s Finance to SAP S/4HANA to ensure business continuity and avoid security and compliance risks. The LUCA program is, in addition, a critical enabler of METRO’s strategy to achieve standardization, harmonization, and centralization.

As a Solution Architect – SAP S4/HANA Finance within the LUCA program, you will design and implement SAP finance solutions to optimize financial processes, review business requirements to deliver effective and standardized solutions. You will have a focus on General Ledger, Statutory Reporting and Subledgers. The role requires deep expertise in SAP General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Document Reporting and Compliance as well as subledgers modules such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Vendor Invoice Management, combined with hands-on experience in implementation and application support.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with finance, process, and IT teams to convert requirements into practical technical designs.
  • Lead service management and project rollouts solutioning of business requirements, from solution design to implementation, while analyzing complex changes and troubleshooting issues.
  • Ensure solutions align with Metro’s global template, enterprise architecture, SAP best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Simplify and convey technical concepts to diverse audiences, including executives, business users, and technical teams.
  • Oversee AMS partner delivery by reviewing and approving transports, documentation, and adherence to Metro standards.

Qualifications

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or related field, with strong knowledge of Financial Accounting and Indirect Procurement.
  • 10+ years in SAP GL, AA, AP, AR, VIM and DRC, with familiarity in SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform as a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; finance-related SAP certifications are advantageous.
  • Retail industry experience preferred for tailored SAP solutions.
  • Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
