Working hours: 20 h/week, up to 37,5h/week during lecture free period possible
Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Governance working-student to support our Financial Master Data Governance team within an SAP environment. This role focuses on supporting governance of financial master data (e.g. G/L accounts, cost centers, profit centers), ensuring alignment with defined standards, data models, and business requirements across the organization.
The position provides exposure to SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) processes, data structures, and the role of data in financial reporting and controlling.
Your Key Responsibilites:
- Governance Support: Support governance and maintenance of financial master data standards (e.g. G/L accounts, cost elements, organizational structures).
- Data Consistency: Assist in ensuring consistency of master data across systems in line with governance rules and global templates.
- Validation: Perform data validation and quality checks focusing on rule adherence.
- Migration: Support data migration by validating mapping logic and reviewing data structures.
- Documentation: Assist in documenting data definitions, hierarchies, and governance processes.
- Issue Management: Support issue tracking, root cause analysis, and follow-up on data-related topics.
Qualifications
Your Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field, being registered as a student for at least another 12 months (ideally 24 months) and having the necessary work authorization as a student.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Interest: Interest in financial data, data governance, and SAP environments.
- Learning: Willingness to learn SAP (especially MDG / FICO modules).
- Independence: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Communication: Good communication skills and proactive attitude.
