Can you briefly describe your journey at METRO?

I joined METRO Financial Services in September 2020 as an office manager. As the first employee hired externally, I had the opportunity to support the growth of what was still a very small team at the time. After one year, I took on the role of people & office manager, which allowed me to become more involved in the People & Culture area and take on additional responsibilities. Since February 2026, I have been working as a project manager for Chefs in Town by METRO Deutschland.

What’s something you’ve learned at work that has really stuck with you?

Working in a large company like METRO has taught me how important it is to build and maintain a strong network. I enjoy connecting with colleagues from different departments, exchanging ideas, and collaborating across teams. Some of the best results come from working together and learning from one another.

If you look back at your journey so far, what is the one thing you are most proud of?

Ever since the Gastronomy festival Chefs in Town was launched, it has been my dream to be part of this project and contribute to its success. I am incredibly proud that I now have the opportunity to work on this unique initiative. Combining my passion for project work with my enthusiasm for the hospitality and gastronomy industry is something very special to me.

What do you enjoy most about working at METRO?

What I enjoy most is the international environment and the close connection to our customers. You can clearly see the impact of your work and understand who you are working for. That makes the work feel meaningful and rewarding.

What’s something that brings you joy or helps you recharge outside of work?

I love staying active and doing sports, especially boxing. It helps me clear my mind and recharge after a busy day. I also enjoy exploring new food spots in the city with friends and family and discovering great culinary experiences together.
