Expert Merchandising Non-Food (m/f/d)

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Merchandising Expert to join our central team and shape the future of our in-store customer experience across multiple categories and countries. In this role, you will develop and implement standardized merchandising principles and guidelines that drive consistency, optimize product presentation, and improve customer navigation and sales in our stores.

Your responsibilities:

  • Principles & Guidelines: Define, develop, and continuously improve store merchandising principles and category-specific guidelines across multiple Non-Food product groups.
  • Goals & Solutions: Collaborate with Global Offer management to translate strategic goals into practical in-store merchandising solutions.
  • Concepts & Formats: Lead the design of modular and scalable merchandising concepts to fit different store formats and market needs.
  • Adapting & Implementing: Provide expert support to local markets in adapting and implementing the central guidelines while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Monitoring & Identifying: Monitor wholesale trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify best practices and integrate relevant innovations.
  • Tracking & Measuring: Establish KPIs and performance tracking mechanisms to measure the impact of merchandising initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Your profile:

    • Educational & Expertise: University degree in Business Administration, International Trade or another related subject with at least 2-3 years’ work experience in Merchandising / Procurement/ Category Management or Assortment Building processes.
    • Skills & Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in retail or wholesale merchandising, with a strong focus on physical store environments. Strong knowledge of category merchandising, planograms, fixture planning, and customer flow.
    • Spirit & Mindset: Strong customer and market orientation, analytical & strategic skills as well as a problem solving mindset and ability for capacity and analytical thinking.
    • Well-versed: Handling of MS Office applications.
    • Willingness to travel: Country visits.
    • Supervision & Communication Skills: Effective collaboration and communication skills. You are fluent in English (vocal and written) and any additional European language would be an advantage.
