Job Description
ABOUT OUR PROGRAMME
Our traineeship programme is designed to bring you fast-track into a senior expert role in your chosen field. As a trainee, you will have the chance to work in specialized areas, exciting projects and gain exposure to different departments and leaders. In addition, you can complete an assignment in one of our METRO countries, providing a truly international experience.
In our trainee programme in Procurement, you will experience a steep learning curve in sourcing food and non-food that brings our assortment to the next level and drives business growth. You will get hands-on experience in analyzing market trends, defining assortment ranges, negotiating with suppliers, and collaborating closely with our international wholesale entities. You will gain first-hand insights in our International Trading Offices and develop your expertise in monitoring food-related Quality Assurance. Finally, you deep-dive into our strategic Own Brands division, making sure article ranges and packaging meet our professional customers’ core needs.

Qualifications
What you need to bring to the table to be eligible:
- A master's degree in business/economics with a specialization in Procurement, Food Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field with very good results
- Engagement in extra-curricular activities is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient skills in Office 365, especially Excel
- A passion for learning and growth
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal; any other European language is a Plus
